Drywall Tools

Drywall projects can be done by almost anyone, but the most important part of the project is the drywall tools, these are essential for the best finish. Much of the work when it comes to hanging drywall is securing the boards with screws or nails. There are now available cordless and corded collated screw-fed tools, such as Automatic drywall guns, complete with a strip of screws making the job that much easier and quicker. Drywall tools are well made and many guarantee their use through hard wear, for this reason used drywall tools can be a good investment for someone who like to do jobs themselves, or for a company just starting out. Used tools do not mean cheap tools.

Finishing tools include most of the tools needed to apply joint compound to the drywall. A mud roller, steel mud pans, pan holder and pole sander and plastering trowel are essential in providing a top quality job and finish.

Among some of the more minor drywall tools, but essential nonetheless are sharp knives, or utility knife, used to cut through the paper face of drywall allowing for a score and the ability to form the size of drywall needed.

No matter the job, having the right tools is essential. Be sure to research the right tools needed for the current drywall job, since each project is unique. For a small room, the necessity of drywall stilts may not be necessary, but an extra trowel and mud pan may be to allow more than one person to work on the room at the same time, and finish the project sooner.
